MY BARREL

Hello! Yeah, I never submit work here, but I'm currently trying to learn how to draw. I got a long road ahead of me. ~_~;;

Anyways! This is some random idea that happened and i stuck to it. The guy on the left is Ashton Anchors from the PlayStation RPG, Star Ocean: The 2nd Story. I won't go into detail about him, but the two dragons you see are attached to his back. Their names are Gyoro and Ururun and they possessed him when he was fighting them. They sometimes take control of his body and make him a real bad ass. And Ashton has some weird (but humorous) fascination with barrels of all shapes, sizes, color, and texture. A barrel is a barrel.

That's where Donkey Kong (the "monkey" on the right) comes in. I thought, "Kinda weird to put in a character from another world in here. Especially considering DK is a Nintendo character. The first Star Ocean was on the SNES, actually, so...WTH!?" Donkey Kong also seems to use barrels a lot in his game, so I thought it fitting for him to steal a barrel and getting Ashton ticked off in the process.

I only have Ashton saying one line because you can't tell what the dragons are saying. Only Ashton can. Supposedly Rena (the female lead) can, but I dunno if she's BS'n or not. Anyways, Ashton basically wanted Gyoro (the red dragon I'm sure) to send some fiery flames after DK (who's a gorilla, not a monkey....IDIOTS!!) to burn him to a crisp in order to save Ashton's precious barrel. Gyoro doesn't see why he should do such a thing just for a barrel (wasn't really Ashton's to begin with) and Ashton is like "Why not?!" Ururun (the blue dragon) is basically just watching.

I thought it came out pretty decent, but I'm not very happy with it. I was just mess'n around with Macromedia Flash MX 2004. I added in the lens flare effect with Adobe Photoshop 7.0. Very simple task that part was. Not very good with either program yet but that's what practice is for.

Quite a long description for a picture so simple, eh? I'll probably do some original artwork next. That or something dedicated to my favorite band, Gorillaz. Possibly something to honor Noodle's "death". Hope she's not though.
